Ahhhh…. The sweet smell of coconut. If you know me, then you know that I’m a seasonal Perfume wearer. I live in a climate that gets all four seasons, and wearing my perfumes seasonally gives me something to look forward to.
Now, I have my favorites for every season, but since its summer let’s focus on my favorite summer scent, coconut.
Because I have to do this thing called adulthood and I can’t vacation every single day of the summer wearing the perfect coconut scent makes me feel like I’m on an expensive vacation. But let’s be honest, not all coconut scents are created equally. Some give off that sunscreen smell and that’s not the vibe I’m looking for. So, when I find one that I’m completely obsessed with it’s in heavy rotation throughout the entire summer.
Speaking of heavy rotation, this first one should come as no surprise because everybody and their mama has heard about it. It’s Tom Ford Soleil Blanc Eau de Parfum. With its unapologetic notes of Coco De Mer, Ylang Ylang and Bergamont; this bright fragrance with warm amber florals has had me in a chokehold for years. I can be delusional at times and live in my own little fantasy so having this perfume transports me to islands even when I have to do my normal day-to-day responsibilities.
Recently, I’ve been smitten by another Coconut scented perfume and it’s the Balinese Coconut Perfume Oil by Nest New York. And when I tell you, I have a very vivid imagination… I can imagine lying on the beaches of Bali when I put this on. The Creamy Coconut, Tropical Tiara Blossom and Salted Musk notes gives a luxurious long lasting scent because it’s delivered in a blend of Baobab Oil that melts into my skin.
I truly look forward to the summer season not just because I’m obsessed with summer dresses (which is my favorite thing to wear in the summer) or the warmer weather (because I hate being cold) it’s because coconut scents are the best to wear during summer weather.
